Urgent! Mechanic Technician Job Opening In Ar Raqqah – Now Hiring ManTech
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Mechanic Technician** to join our vehicle sustainment team in Raqqah, Syria.
The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**
+ Repairs, rebuilds or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.
+ Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications** :
+ Selected candidates must be a US Citizen.
+ Six (6) years of qualified automotive maintenance experience.
+ Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, ground systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
+ Must have prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems
+ Familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems
+ Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
+ Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
+ Experience effectively applying industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
+ Travel to hostile areas is required.
+ Must be able to meet all government CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.
+ Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
+ Must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a **Public Trust** clearance.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
+ Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
+ Must be able to work in high noise areas.
+ Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
+ Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
